Soot issues

When the candle is expelling excess soot from your candle

  • We recommend using wick trimmers and trimming the wick to 1/4'' before lighting the wick
  • Alternatively, if excess sooting continues, trim your wick to 1/8’’
  • Only burn candles for a recommended 2 to 3-hour max

Candle Wax Cracks

  • Drafts can cause the wick to lean off-center, which can the jar/vessel to overheat/scorch
  • We recommend using wick trimmers to ¼’’ before lighting
  • We recommend making sure your wicks are centered at all times
  • We recommend only burning the wick for a recommended 2-3 hour max

Tunneling

Correcting a tunneling Candle.

Tunneling can be noticed during the first burn of the candle. We recommend, burning the candle 2-3 times for 1 - 2 hour increments should cause the wax to pool and fill the tunnels.  Furthermore, should the tunneling continue, burn in 2-3 increments until the tunneling is corrected.

Self-extinguishing flame

Correcting a candle that keeps going out by itself.

Normally, a self-extinguishing flame can be corrected by waiting until the wick is cool. Once the candle is cool, loosen the wick fibers from the wax by twisting with your fingers. Re-straighten the wick and relight the wick.
